I have ordered (and returned) quite a few memory foam toppers from Amazon. After many different trials, I'm most happy with this one. However, what I see as a bonus - it's only 1" thick so my firm mattress still feels firm - will be seen as a negative by those of you looking for a nice cushy 3" experience that you can "sink in to."
Basically, all of the memory foam toppers I've ordered have had the following in common:
* They all smell TERRIBLE for the first 24-48 hours. Leave them unrolled somewhere to air out. If you try to sleep on them before they air out, I guarantee you'll wake up with the worst chemical headache you've ever had.
* They all are basically made of the same material. I haven't done chemical analysis of course, but the "memory foam" on all of them had the same consistency. The only difference was some had anti-slip straps, some had little terry cloth covers. This one is very basic, thin, no bells and whistles.
If you're looking for a thin pad, this is for you. If you're looking for a nice thick pad, keep looking. Hope this helps.
